Stock Exchange re-open Wednesday

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]Mayor Michael  rang the bell to re-open the Stock Exchange Wednesday after a two-day trading hiatus.

Both the Mega-NYSE and the Mega-NASDAQ were closed Monday and Tuesday as Hurricane Sandy whipped through the Northeast of the city, the first time weather has forced the stock market to close for two consecutive days since 1888.

It’s already shaping up to be an eventful day for tech stocks.

Apple’s stock plunged back below $600 a share in early trading Wednesday following a shakeup in the company’s executive leadership announced earlier in the week and Facebook is down nearly 4% as the first of three big lockup periods expires, allowing employees to cash out their stock.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=»1/2″][vc_posts_slider type=»flexslider_fade» interval=»3″ link=»link_post» orderby=»date» order=»DESC» title=»Breaking News» count=»4″ posttypes=»post» slides_content=»teaser» slides_title=»1″][/vc_column][vc_column width=»1/2″][vc_posts_slider type=»flexslider_fade» interval=»3″ link=»link_post» orderby=»date» order=»ASC» title=»Related News» count=»4″ posttypes=»post» categories=»food,,Entertainment,» slides_title=»1″ slides_content=»teaser»][/vc_column][/vc_row]
